Paleo Avocado Smoothie
This avocado smoothie is a Filipino adaptation of a smoothie. Milk and sugar used in the original recipe, but as always, we'll do to get our drink parishioners paleo.
For Primal, you know how to proceed with the milk ;-)
This smoothie can be taken as breakfast. Do not think that because you can take fat avocado. Saturated fats of this fruit are very beneficial both to our heart and to help eliminate those extra pounds.
Ingredients:
- 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and diced
- 5 ice cubes
- 2 tablespoons honey, or 3 drops of stevia or ½ tablespoon agave syrup
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
(Important: If you are under sugar detox, skip this step. You can add 2 tablespoons lemon juice instead of 1, and then some vanilla)
- 1.3 (330 ml) cups of coconut milk
Preparation
Place all ingredients in a blender (or blender-if you use a blender need more avocado-) and beat well all until a smooth consistency.
