Paleo Pancakes With Brussels Sprouts And Bacon


Well, what category do these savory pancakes? In main dishes, in between, breakfast? If you take bacon and ham takes a different covering, it is even vegetarian. They are hearty, delicious, and something for hungry lovers. Anyone who tries these pancakes, will have his pleasure!

Ingredients Dough:
  • Buckwheat (125g)
  • Eggs (6 pieces)
  • Parsley (4 tsp)
  • Chives (4 tsp)
  • Baking powder (1 packet)
  • Salt
  • Butaris / ghee (clarified butter)
Ingredients for the topping:
  • Brussels sprouts (350 g)
  • Bacon (about 120 g)
  • Dried ham (a few slices)
  • Onion (1 piece)
  • Broth (50 ml)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Nutmeg
  • Butaris / ghee (clarified butter)
Preparation:

Finely grind the buckwheat and stir in the baking soda. Whisk the eggs with a little salt, then stir in the flour and herbs. Put bowl aside so that the dough can swell.

Divide the sprouts into its delicate leaves, how to do it eg cabbage or cabbage. Peel the onion and cut into cubes. In a skillet  Butaris / ghee and fry the Brussels sprouts give leaves with the onions. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and top with the vegetable broth. As long simmer until the Brussels sprouts until al dente and the liquid is fully cooked. In a separate pan, fry the chopped bacon and smoked ham slices lightly and set aside.

Abundant  Butaris / ghee in a pan and melt give a ladle full of batter into the pan. Divide the vegetables and bacon on pancakes and a little press firmly so that the contact of the pancake nothing falling. If the pancakes fried golden brown on both sides come out on top even the bacon slices. Bake the finished pancakes in succession and keep warm.

As already mentioned, this pancake tastes quite fantastic and makes even the hungriest mouths quickly and permanently tired. Let you taste it!
